Use the form below to submit your story and/or photos. Please note the following guidelines:

•    Deadline: Every submission, or (for a full-length story) at least a submission letting us know you’re working on it, must be received two months prior to the publication month, by the 8th of that month, and the complete submission must be received by the 2nd of the month prior to the publication/issue month to be considered for publication. Be aware that we may not be able to publish your submission right away but may hold it for a future issue.
•    All content submitted for consideration to The Amherst Bear is subject to editing and may be declined.
•    Our suggested word count for full-length stories is no more than 400 words; submissions may be further edited for length depending on space available. 
•    All content should be written by the author; it should not be copied, paraphrased, or otherwise taken from another source without crediting the source.
•    Please do not submit content that has already appeared somewhere else (in print or online). We also ask that you do not republish your submission anywhere else for a reasonable time after The Amherst Bear publishes it (for most pieces, about three months). 
•    We do not publish submissions that promote products or services.
•    In the form below, provide the author’s name, the author’s town of residence (and, if not Amherst, the author’s connection with Amherst), and any images that support the story. Include attribution/credit information for all images.
